The Arsenal Name Plate: How We Craft Your Name into Devotion
A behind-the-scenes look at how our Arsenal Champions 25/26 custom name plates are designed, engraved, and shipped — from your first click to a piece of supporters' history on your wall.
By CohibasCorner

There is a particular kind of pride that lives in a name plate. Not the kind you find on a desk in an office — the kind that hangs in a matchday den, a kid's bedroom door, or above the bar you built with your dad the year Arsenal won the FA Cup.
The Arsenal Champions 25/26 custom name plate is our most personal product. Every order is a small piece of supporters' history, and we treat each one that way. Here is exactly how it gets made.
The Order: A Name You Choose
The first thing you'll see when you visit the name plate page is the customization form. Pick a font that matches the era you fell in love with the club — we have a classic serif for the Highbury purists, a condensed sans for the Emirates generation, and a hand-drawn script for the romantics.
Then type the name. This is the part that takes the longest, and it should. Talk to your dad. Ask your kid what they want on theirs. Think about the friend who took you to your first game.
The Design: Two Hours Per Plate
Once your order is in, the design work begins. We don't use a template. Every name plate is laid out by hand in our design software, with kerning, weight, and engraving depth tuned to the specific letters in your name. A short four-letter name like "COYG" reads differently from a long "ALEXANDER-ARSENE" — the spacing has to breathe.
We then mock it up against the red-and-white crest and send you a proof. You can request two free revisions. Most people take both.
The Engraving: Where It Gets Real
Approved proofs go to our laser engraving partner in Mississauga. The plate itself is precision-cut from walnut or maple, then the design is laser-etched at a depth of 0.8 mm — deep enough to catch shadow and light, shallow enough to feel refined. We finish each plate by hand with a food-safe oil that deepens the wood grain and protects the engraving for decades.
The Shipping: Three Days, Then Forever
From approved proof to your doorstep is 5–7 business days across Canada and the US, and 2–3 weeks internationally. We use compostable mailers and recycled cardboard because a piece of supporters' history shouldn't cost the planet.
"Got ours on the wall above the bar. My eight-year-old asked if Henry played there." — a customer, who asked to remain anonymous because the bar is technically his wife's.
What Makes It Different
There are a lot of name plates on the internet. Most of them are made from MDF and printed, not engraved. They fade in two years. Ours are made from real hardwood, engraved at depth, and finished to last a lifetime.
We don't think that's a small difference. We think it's the difference between a product and a piece of supporters' history.
